I have learned a plethora of home remedies and medical recommendations that improve my health and save me money. Let me share one that deals with toenails and fingernails. You can be healthy, have diabetes, have lymphedema, etc., But keeping your nails groomed is very helpful with minimizing infection. Jagged nails, chipping nails, cuticle overhangs, dead nail layers hold germs that can cause infection. You can manage your pedicure and manicure inexpensively. You don't have to pay salon prices. I use a 7-way buffer to groom my nails. When I'm done it looks as though I've been to the salon. After I have finished my feet or hands, I soak them in soapy water or Epsom salt water. Then I dry them and use Eucerin lotion in generous amounts and put on white socks for my feet and white gloves for my hands and let them moisturize themselves. FYI - if you suffer with lymphedema or diabetes, keep your legs nails trimmed and clean. Prevent them from scratching or scraping your skin. That can trigger infection. This is my helpful tip.

As I revel my retirement I stay as active both mentally as well as physically via aerobic activity. I believe that is vital not just for quantity but quality of living as well!
