Your rank is utterly ridiculous for this question. You are not a G2G ADO candidate as a 09S.

If you are a G2G ADO then you're not a 09S and you just stay on AD as you have been. You ETS the day prior to your Commission and the next day you are an officer.

If you're a regular ROTC kid then you commission but do not go into active duty as an officer until your orders say to report to BOLC

SFC (Join to see) Thank you for your input. You are one of the few rallypoint members who give advice and guidance to all Soldiers alike. I always seek your replies throughout this forum because you are very articulate. But do you really have to insult me while you give me a helping hand? Lol.

SSG (Join to see) lol sorry I just woke up and looked at your rank and MOS to figure out your status. It's so many so many letters and ranks it hurts my brain lol.

Hopefully I answered your question accurately based on what I am able to gather about your status

SFC (Join to see) the profile doesn't allow me to remove the SSG or dont have any rank because there is no cadet option. So I have to put the CDT CPT as part of my name. Maybe a good AAR comment for the moderators.

In my opinion, Once your orders are cut, you receive a honourable discharge at your last rank and then you will be eligible for 01E pay. I did not go to basic officer leadership course once called officer basic course until 6 months After my commission. This was in the 1990s in I was the National Guard yet I received my lieutenant pay. Not sure about active component but doesn't make sense to not pay you at your higher rank. I was even put on title 32 Orders for a few weeks due to a mobilisation in my unit to Germany. I could not go with them to do military police backfill of American bases in Germany because I had not taken my basic officer leadership course yet even though I was already mp as an enlisted. So I got to help out with the mobilisation and I got a whole bunch of cold weather gear given to me which I still wear today in the cold of Canada.

LTC (Join to see) I see. Thank you sir. Hopefully my outcome is the same. I can't see myself delivering pizza for a couple of months while I wait for my report date.

A bit of advice from another prior service officer:

It’s time to let go of the “SSG(P)” thing. You are about to be a commissioned officer. While your NCO past shapes you as a leader, you have to let go of that role and embrace your new one. Let your NCOs be NCOs, you need to be their officer.

2LT (Join to see) sir, I can't remove my SSG rank because the website won't allow me to remove my rank so I had to add the CDT CPT to my name. Trust me. I'm not THAT obnoxious
