I don't care one way or another about his political ideologies. He spouts the need to fix the ghetto and not fix the police departments. I think that is a narrow point of view, but is beside the point. What concerns me is that Milwaukee/Milwaukee County was ranked in the mid 40s to the 50s on various "Most dangerous places to live" lists when David Clarke took over as sheriff in 2002. It now ranks in the range of low teens to 20ish depending on the list. I don't call those successful results. Nearly all of those lists are based on per capita crime statistics, so in my mind he failed over the course of his 15 years.
