I am submitting at packet as a reserve 66S soon and have completed all the necessary paperwork. I know my current job in a Med/Surg ICU qualifies as a 66S. Since the initial contract is 3 years and I may decide to continue serving beyond that, which other areas of critical care does the army accept? Do you submit yearly documentation showing you are currently employed on a specific critical care unit? My recruiters seem to have more information on the active-duty side of things.

DA Form 7653 - VERIFICATION OF CLINICAL COMPETENCIES FOR CRITICAL CARE NURSING SKILL IDENTIFIER ; Once your accepted as a 66S , just stay green with your unit , in addition to completeting required annual trainings and nursing competencies, also Army gives a sweet bonus if you are certified (CCRN)

Thanks for the information. So the DA 7653 is filled out each year I assume? I was aware there is a yearly job bonus for the initial 3 years, but was not aware there was any special bonus for having your CCRN the recruiters haven't mentioned that.

No DA 7653 goes up with your packet to prove you’re an ICU nurse, so it’s one time. Yes you get a yearly bonus for CCRN, it’s posted on the DFAS website for military pay PVT (Join to see)
