SMSgt Dr. G. A. Thomas just plain wrong, if you do the crime do the time. Why should he be treated any different?? Maybe rank has its privilege but not in this case IMHO.

Get bounced out for PT test failures. Get stupid drunk, get in your car and turn a kid into speed bump and kill him, retire with benefits.
Sounds about right. (/sarc)
Hopefully he'll enjoy his retirement from inside a jail cell. And no doubt get his pathetic ass sued in Civil Court.

He's facing criminal charges locally but I agree that the AF should have done more!

Reduction in Rank to E-1, and time in Leavenworth would be more appropriate than rewarding him for Murder with a military retirement. There is a level of insanity for the reasons people are forced out, and then more when we see high ranking folks do criminal stuff and nothing bad happens to them in any legitimate way by their services chain of command

Murdered someone without mitigating circumstances. Disclaimer: I don't believe in mitigating circumstances as they 'qualify' the degree of what your involvement was. The question was did he kill someone? Was it justified? If it was not, then he murdered someone. Why then allow him to receive any benefits from service as a Felon as that should be the result if he was found guilty?
