Good morning RP and Posse. Hopefully, Col Burroughs will be back posting his own information again soon. I know he is very frustrated; I have had that experience on RP and it isn't pleasant. Please bear with me as I do my best to get the information out there. And if you need to change your password, please do so!
Security is our own responsibility. Some of us are better at it than others. However, even when we do our best, some things remain out of our control. Even our government and some large businesses get hacked and we have to be ready to do recovery. I highly recommend that everyone lock down their credit if they haven't already done so. I keep mine locked all the time to help protect me,. Never, ever give out your password or pin to anyone and where you are offered two tier security take it, even if it is inconvenient.

I didn't mean to sound cynical, its just that security is such a fleeting thing. There's shrinkage of inventory, pilfering, falsifying time sheets, faked college degrees and military service, hacking, lying, omission of facts, people sleeping while on duty, etc... Security can be a full-time job in some instances. Keeping passwords up to date is a truly excellent thing to do but if you can create one someone else can decipher it, often with the help of sophisticated software. If you think about all this, security is a daunting proposition.

Like this poster. Much like the military, we tend to think it is enough until we find it isn't. Just ask any person who lived through WW2.

I like the “Passwords are like underwear; make them personal, make them exotic, and change them on a regular basis.” — Unknown Author

Sadly I have so many systems and passwords anymore...
