Thanks for making us aware of Truong Dinh Dzu who "ran on a peace platform in the September 1967 presidential elections in South Vietnam" and was sentenced to five years of hard labor for urging the formation of a coalition government as a step toward ending the war SP5 Mark Kuzinski .
Corruption seemed to run rampant in Saigon in terms of elected officials and government contracts.
At times it seemed that the prime minister and president of South Vietnam was a revolving door operation.
It is sad that the USA was openly supporting a corrupt regime - unfortunately we still seem to be doing that in Turkey fro instance.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski He might have had something there if they/we listened. Good example of when a 'Democracy' of any stripe starts to slip under the guise of prosecution of persons 'who interfere with the government's struggle against (insert yr cause or word)'
