I read the news that Staff Sgt. Christopher A. Wilbur had died in a DoD News email SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Each death is tragic. I recognize that DoD does not mention the name of a deceased service member or family member until the appropriate people have been notified officially.
I was maintaining a database of every service member killed in OEF and the added OIF and then added operations after that. I still get the emails from DoD and one day I expect to go back to updating and verifying the information. It is draining working on a database like that as you can well imagine.
Prayers for the family and friends of SSG Christopher A. Wilbur and I pray for swift resolution f the investigation into his death.

Yes dying in the service of one's country is clearly inferior to causing the soldiers of one's enemy to die in the service of their country.
