Very sad but not very surprising that ISIS has been successful in drawing women to their cause. They have demonstrated savvy although deceitful marketing campaigns to lure young men and women to their cause. From what I understand they have generally been able to draw those who have been abused by family, peers, or government and society in general. LTC Eric Udouj
Those who were foolish enough to joying soon learned the error of their ways either through abuse by ISIS in a manner similar to the way pimps "keep their stables in line" or as suicide bombers.
I hope and pray that eyes and ears will be open to the truth and that the lies of ISIS will be exposed to the most vulnerable to being lured into the web.

The problem of how they are recruiting stems from many points - but think it is a mistake to look at their success in recruiting from just those abused.... such is in line with the thinking that went into economics was part of fixture of recruiting terrorists back in the initial years of the long war. I would like to see the lies exposed so that those who want to make a difference ..... do not do so by going off to the great jihad or to the local jihads. But one has to take a hard look and see the Shia forces in Syria retaking Aleppo - and the destruction of the Sunni population - will produce a line of those wanting to fight and die to avenge such... and nothing we are doing is looking past the tactical aspects of IS...

Interesting article. I believe this these are cases of women staying with the devil they know, and the attention that comes with it. Some people identify with their abusers: I believe the most common cases in our country are abused children loving and running to the very parents who abuse them.
