I always investigate all possible avenues before making any decisions because of that right there.

The hardest part I think in relationships is adjusting and growing from what both sides were raised to be. It's like two different countries coming together with different values, discipline and basic living. Though we should hold onto traditions, I believe every relationship including marriage needs to embrace it's on time valued traditions. If one person, like one country always thinks it's there way or no way!..... Well, we all know how war starts and ends.

SFC (Join to see) - Well I see what you are saying, but there still needs to be a balance. There should 'yours' 'mine' and 'ours', so to speak. But what usually ends up happening quite often is one gives up so much and the others doesn't. He/she really gets the best of both worlds, there should be the balance. I have yet to see that in my life, though I have seen others who have it, so I know it exist.

SSG Pete Fleming - I have found what works is ours, My family, wife, kids and Grandchildren, are what counts for Me and My wife. In August My wife and I will have been married for 40 years, it just may work ! At this point actually We have so much invested together and know each other so well i wouldn't change a thing. We are two different people but have so much common ground it seems to work pretty well. So conflicts happen in each of our lives but mostly its helping each other, listening to each other problems and putting family first, everything else is secondary. We do have our own interest, We are still two different people but there is so much common ground what ever else happens in life We are good with each other and our immediate family. That is where We can count on people, everything else is secondary.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter - It is great that everything has been so good for you. You are blessed to have a true partner. Not everybody is as fortunate.
