Thank you my friend SGT (Join to see) for reminding us that on July 8, 1981, the Senate confirmed Sandra Day O'Conner to the Supreme Court unanimously (99-0).
2 1/2 months later on September 25, 1981 Sandra Day O'Conner was sworn in as the first female Supreme Court Associate Justice.

I hope and pray that soon nomination, confirmation and subsequent appointment to Federal Supreme Court and Appellate Courts will be with six months once again.
