Good...make her pay every dime of it and throw her butt in the klink. She not only tarnished the reputation and ended the career of this Colonel but she undermined the legitimate claims of those who really were assaulted and raped.

I agree 100% with that, its a very serious crime and any that did commit a rape deserves anything they get but to falsely accuse someone is also a very serious crime and they also deserve the maximum punishment. That does make it even harder for the legitimate victims who already have had enough trauma without it being doubted due to actions of other people who made false claims and make others wonder about each case instead of taking it at first look for the felony class crime that it is .

Lt Col Charlie Brown Every time a false claim is made, it undermines the legitimate claims. I do not understand why those who continue to propagate these lies cannot see that they are ultimately hurting the very cause they are espousing. It is a sad turn of events, and an unfortunate irony.

Thank you my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown for sharing the good news that retired Col David William Riggins, USMA class of 1987, was found innocent of the charges of rape. I am glad that former USMA cadet of the class of 1987 Susan H. Shannon has been ordered by a Fairfax County court jury to pay %8.4 million to retired U.S. Army Colonel David William Riggins based on the defamation.
Thankfully justice is being served and U.S. Army [Criminal Investigation Command] found no corroborating evidence. As a USMA, West Point graduate of the first class that included woman as cadets I understand the severity of the charges and I also understand that it is incredibly difficult to get away with any crimes there without leaving any evidence.

Hopefully this bodes well for the Senate hearing this week looking at the accusation from High school by Dr. Ford [no relation to me, thankfully] against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
