The US Marines and US Army, in Hue City in '68, would have appreciated the crap out of the order that allowed them to bring in heavier weapons along with CAS and also to allow attacking the Sacred Sites (The Citadel/Imperial Palace) where the NVA and VC had command posts set up, coming a few weeks earlier than when S. Vietnam Pres. Thieu and MACV actually allowed it. It most likely would have saved untold Marine and Army lives by not playing by those ridiculous ROE's.

Thank you my friend PO2 (Join to see) for posting the video focused on the battle of Monte Casino. This was also part of the campaign to liberate Rome.
Allied air power devastated the monastery atop Monte Cassino and the ruins aided German snipers - unintended consequences.
