I actually went there when they still had a tower similar to those they have at Six Flags Amusement Parks. I have also walked the area that general Pickett charged that was considered the high watermark of the Confederacy. The Union army of the Potomac was successful. I still have my powerpoint presentation I did as an LT on Union General Bufords Cavalry using Defense in Depth to buy time and slow down The Confederate Army of Virginia Forces to give time to the Union Army of the Potomac time to get to Gettysburg.
