4 Star Admiral Mike Mullen came to our base in Afghanistan with the camera crew of 60 minutes. The names of some of my soldiers are clearly visible. I am in the crowd though you cannot see me. 60 Minutes kept jumping scenes between different bases and Afghanistan and Iraq.
He later posed for pictures and gave his Command coin to Soldiers & Sailors present. I have a picture with him as well.
Our commander informed the Admiral that most of our personal gear was still stuck in Pakistan for over a month. A Major assigned to him immediately put in some calls and within three days we had our equipment.

Back then, I was not used to seeing flag officers but now I have met quite a few of them even Canadian ones but back then I was only an O-3. I will never forget this experience. I am sure you were used to Navy captains and admirals.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel the coins were business card not a Bravo Zulu job well done while your plaques were definitely Bravo Zulu job well done. The Army gives out coins for job well done and Below getting an Achievement medal but this was more of publicity.
