Good Saturday morning my Brothers and Sisters!!! Aren't Saturday's NICE?
This morning I bring to you a short clip regarding a "Christmas Day Bob Hope Show" from Cu-Chi, Vietnam in 1966! There was no other like Bob Hope, who made the rounds of Military Locations around the world... Dedicated to providing a little levity for all the Troops, some of whom were still in the hospital garb and some still in their hospital beds... But you, Brothers and Sisters, probably know all that... No more words... Just a few minutes of good old Bob Hope entertainment!!!

Sgt (Join to see) - Yes, and I've seen some of his Christmas shows on TV, but my assignments were to small bases tat never got anything like that.

My base camp was Dong Tam. John Kerry's A.O. was around the Vam Co Tay River. Christmas 1968 I was operating around a place called Tuyen Nhon, just off the Vam Co Tay River. Bob Hope was at Dong Tam. John Kerry took his boat crew to the Bob Hope Show at Dong Tam. That's as close as I got to a USO show. Funny how some things work out.

PO3 Edward Riddle - Some of us just didn't rate, I guess. Even if they performed at Ft. Greely chances are that I would have been on duty at the AFRTS facility.
I did spend some time at the USO suite at the Seattle Airport between flights to get a few hours sleep.
