My suggestion is to not use one of these companies that want a piece of your rating for payment. Get an accredited rep through a Veterans service organization or your state VA. There's no reason a Veteran should have to pay to get the compensation he/she deserves.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I started with the County Veterans Service Officer...learned a few things from them then I researched and started doing the forms and evidence loads myself...so far it has worked out for me. Yo uare right though John...a veteran should not have to pay to get benefits owed to them.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - Some service organizations are different from state to state. I tried to use a DAV rep when I was in North Carolina. Did absolutely nothing for me. I have had better luck either using the state VA or doing it myself. Just like you.
