Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the July 23rd edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "Apollo 11 Landing Panorama." This composite image from the NASA archives shows us the view Neil Armstrong and Colonel Buzz Aldrin (USAF, Ret.) were greeted with when the dust settled on July 20, 1969. Fifty-three years ago. My grandfather made it a point that night to stay up late (his rise and shine time was 5AM each day) and watch the first humans take a stroll on the lunar surface. I was sitting on the floor in front of him. Seems like only yesterday.

An absolutely amazing landing on our MOON by Neil Armstrong & Colonel Buzz Aldrin USAF (Ret.) on June 23, 1969!!! My wife and I and our kids stayed up to watch this marvelous occurrence! Awesome Share, Maj William W. 'Bill' Price!!!

Maj William W. 'Bill' Price LMAO with that comment. Probably gave the Big Guy his planet Saturn and we know it is Hunter's from the crack pipe smoke rings around it .
