They should have had that power anyway Brother Dale. When the government drops the ball the way they have, every State should have that power. Arrest them for violating our Border then deport them. Trump is calling for mass deportations and I'm all for it!!!

During the Administration of President Truman Two Million illegal Immigrants were deported from the United State and once President Eisenhower to office He deported over thirteen million illegals. Both stated they were taking jobs away from returning war veterans and working illegally for less than minimum wage and harming US citizens within the workforce and had to be roved from the United States. The opposition to that was from Democrats with self serving commercial interest and making money on illegal aliens and that was identified as a huge part of the problem even pointing out Which actual Democratic party members were involved ! Two of the worst offenders on that problem were Lyndon B. Johnson (D) Texas and Pat McCarran (D) Nevada.

Greg Abbott is in a way workin off the Democrat playbook. He knows this is in the Federal jurisdiction, but he also knows he will at best put a dent in the masses of people coming and staying here illegally. But even if he is unable to achieve that dent, he will keep the country focused on the issue as it works its way through the courts before they likely conclude states cannot unilaterally enforce Federal law. The difference here is (compared to what Democrats do), there are a majority of Americans who believe Biden is failing to do his job on the border. This move will serve to hurt Biden and the Democrat party’s approval ratings.
