Will you be ‘missing’ an Armed Forces Day Parade in your AO? It is May 18 in 2024.
First celebrated in 1950, my first Armed Forces Day Parade was during IET in San Luis Obispo, CA. I had been in the Army for a month! My last Armed Forces Day Parade was at the long running, Torrance, CA parade in 1981, my final year of service. I haven't heard about this year but 2 years ago 300 High School Seniors form Columbus Ohio and surrounding cities took the Oath of Enlistment on this day.

CSM Charles Hayden Sadly, they don't even have a parade in my neck of the woods for Armed Forces Day.
