Remembering one of America’s sweethearts Annette Joanne Funicello (October 22, 1942 – April 8, 2013) was an American actress and singer. Funicello began her professional career as a child performer at the age of twelve. She rose to prominence as one of the most popular Mouseketeers on the original Mickey Mouse Club.[1] As a teenager, she transitioned to a successful career as a singer with the pop singles "O Dio Mio", "Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess", as well as establishing herself as a film actress, popularizing the successful "Beach Party" genre alongside co-star Frankie Avalon during the mid-1960s. In 1992, Funicello announced that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She died of complications from the disease on April 8, 2013.

Thanks for reminding us Maj Marty Hogan that today in the 75th anniversary of the birth of American actress and singer Annette Joanne Funicello who was a Mouseketeer on the original Mickey Mouse Club as a child.
I remember in her beach party roles with Frankie Avalon.

I loved watching her in those movies. And I can remember the mouseketeer's it was a good time to be a kid.

I'm sure familiar. with all those thing Annette did in Her lifetime. I used to watch the Micky Mouse Club when She was a regular on that show. Those Beach Party movies and the music as well. One of the other Mouseketeers on the Micky Mouse Club I actually saw at Da Nang Viet Nam was Karen as She was prefoming with a band that appeared at the NCO club.
