Math:
$93 trillion over ten years divided by 300 million Americans equals $31,000 in new costs for every man, woman, and child in America per year. With a family of six, I suppose I can make it for a year or two selling spare kidneys (after all, the health care costs will be free!), but then I am screwed.

Considering the total population doesn't work... less than 50% of the population actually earn a non-retirement income. Double that per-capita rate. They want your entire paycheck.

PO3 Bob McCord - I don't think illegals are the main problem with this; the math collapses just fine only count citizens. Nor did I forget free college, student loan forgiveness, Reparations, or any of the other "free stuff" proposals out there. The question only pertained to the Green New Deal.
Not to worry, none of this stuff is going to happen. There is physically not enough money in the whole US economy to do all of these things, and the policies if implemented would hardly encourage the economy to get bigger.
The math on this, if properly articulated, makes this farce evident, and the people advocating for this malarkey should be run out of Washington on a rail.
Unfortunately, we have a situation where old-fashioned wasteful spending proliferation is bloating the current budget to unsustainable levels, albeit at a slower pace. The budget deal currently in negotiation in the Senate is also terrible. We need to go back to regular order on budgeting, where agencies had to justify their programs and spending. Sadly, this is purposely being circumvented by continuing resolutions.

Not sure why but some on the left seem hell bent on destroy this countries economy over this climate change debate. Yet if they look at the overall picture. The U.S. could stop using all fossil fuels today and not make a dent in CO2 emissions overall. Unless you get China and India, along with the emerging 3rd world countries to buy in, you are pissing in the wind. Now maybe she could develop some sort of force field that would extend up to space around North America and we can then isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. Personally she has not displayed what one would call an abundance of smarts, so why anyone would listen to her baffles me.

Hell they still have not shown any proof that global warming is even a thing. Most of the best environmental scientists in the world are saying that it’s a hoax but 30 of the paid so called scientists are saying give us billions of dollars so we can do whatever in the hell they do with all of that money every year.
