Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that January 3 is the 78th anniversary of birth of Canadian former ice hockey player Robert Marvin "Bobby" Hull, OC
Happy birthday Bobby Hull with many happy returns!
Legends of Hockey - Bobby Hull. Robert Marvin "Bobby" Hull, OC (born January 3, 1939) is a former Canadian ice hockey player. He is regarded as one of the greatest ice hockey players of all time and perhaps the greatest left winger to ever play the game. Hull was famous for his blonde hair, blinding skating speed, and having the fastest shot, earning him the nickname "the Golden Jet". He possessed the most feared slapshot of his day. In his 23 years in the National Hockey League and World Hockey Association, he played for the Chicago Black Hawks, Winnipeg Jets and Hartford Whalers.

Go Blackhawks! Bobby Hull was famed for his slapshot. Grew up in Chicago and followed them. Tony Esposito was a damn good goalie.
