Acetaminophen is not a blood thinner, my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown Ibuprofen does have blood thinning characteristics which is why you can not take it for generally 7 to 10 days before major surgery - same for aspirin.

Good information ma'am! Thank you! I try to avoid Tylenol because I already have some liver damage from my hemochromatosis(iron-overload disorder).

Do you donate blood? That's one way to help keep your iron levels in chec

Lt Col Charlie Brown Yes ma'am. I donate every six to eight weeks. When I was first diagnosed, my ferritin level was about 5700, or 100X normal. It is now in the 700-750 range, still too high, but probably as low as it will go, since some of the extra iron is bound in skin tissues (dermal siderosis).
