Thanks SGT John " Mac " McConnell for sharing something which reminds me of the infantry regimental punch we drank when drinking was still encouraged in the Army.
Military punches tended to be aged no longer than a day or two :-)

SGT John " Mac " McConnell - thanks my friend. I just got back from a local observance in Sterling Park, VA by the Sterling Part Memorial where about 200 people were gathered - most of which were boy scouts with leaders followed by American Legionnaires. My back was throbbing so I stayed at the back of the standing crowd. After the event ended, I talked with an infantryman who was drafted and served in 1970-1971 and a USAF veteran.
It is humid in northern Virginia and right now I am trying to reduce my back spasming.

It may serve 8 but I'll bet quite a few GAR members may have indulged in someone else's ration;-) Thanks for the post SGT John McConell!
