Thanks for letting us know SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that the 1109th Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group in Groton Connecticut has been conducting major structural inspections and repair of the Army's so-called workhorse, the Black Hawk helicopter, so that the aircraft can go 10 to 15 years without any unscheduled maintenance.
It is always good when a unit can have its mission updated and then conduct it successfully. It is always great when equipment life can be extended by proper care and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
