With all the crap in the media about politics, racism, hate and separation; it is good to see that when you throw all of that garbage to the side that America is still a great place to be. I just wish it didn't take a disaster for people to act this way! A small business man that ones to furniture stores took in over 200 people and allowed them a place to feel safe, he also provided them with food and water "this is my way of giving back to the community that brought me success for the past 36 years" is what the owner said about it. COL Mikel J. Burroughs I remember going to help with relief for Hurricane Katrina and the people we helped were so grateful! They never let us go hungry that's all they could give us to show thanks so they just cooked for us! Some of the best gumbo and crawfish I have ever eaten! I will never forget the guy who cooked the crawfish and Gumbo his name was 'Kermit' haha.

Thanks for sharing PO3 Jacob Jenkins the news that the Gallery Furniture store just outside of Houston has opened it doors and made its comfortable furniture available to over 200 people who were evacuated from the Hurricane Harvey flooding.
