It is interesting that Hugh’s company activity in satellite communications were left out. While Hugg’s Was not directly involved he funded $2 million for the project of geosynchronous communication satellites and allowed employees to develope them. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-syncom-satellite-20130726-dto-htmlstory.html It is also interesting that Hugh’s companies developed ground to air missiles and air to air more smiles.

Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that Christmas Eve ia the anniversary of the birth of American business magnate, investor, record-setting pilot, film director, and philanthropist Howard Robard Hughes Jr.
In his latter years he was recluse; but he was a wonderful film director for The Racket (1928),[4] Hell's Angels (1930),[5] and Scarface (1932).
H- 4 Hercules (Spruce Goose) Howard Hughes was contracted to build the world's largest plane by the US Government.

One of his few “Claims to Fame”.
The few movies he produced for the most part were well received by the public. It was his character in Hollywood that held him back. Given the chance, I feel he could have produced several other films of distinction.
