Those who are born again in the Spirit should have no fear of the second death for that is reserved for the unbeliever as sentence is passed at the Great White Throne while the Christian is judged for their belief righteous things they have done as they worked out their salvation, at the Bema or Mercy seat, then are ushered into heaven.
The second death, of course is the spiritual death of the unbeliever who is ushered into the lake of fire for their unbelief where they will suffer the torments of Hell for eternity and have no more knowledge or remembrance of God nor He of them.
It baffles me how people can be so smug about such an ending when they have heard the Gospel message yet refuse to accept Christ and the deliverance from sin and death he offers. It makes no sense but there it is.
Lest we get discouraged we continue the call to preach unto every living creature which is our great commission.
