Morning SP5 Mark Kuzinski We were just talking about when this was the other day. We were on vacation in Vegas and one of the "homeless Nam veterans" was 50. I struck up a conversation with him as I noticed his sign- and inquired about his age. He was younger than me- and served in Nam. Was telling a few buddies when I got home and we were trying to figure of it was 72 or 73. My brother joined the Navy in 74 and he served in Japan- and recalled nothing was ever said about the war. Timely share my friend and thanks.

Man, that veteran had lousy luck for he must have been drafted away from his mother when he was 5 or 6! I have also seen & talked with similar Vietnam War vets who surely were too young to have served. It angers me but I assume some mental illness or a defect is present with these vets so I generally excuse myself and leave. I am fortunate to live in Montana and I see relatively few "homeless Nam vets" because I assume the weather here sends lost ones down south.

The end of the war through the Paris Accords stemmed the bleeding of American troops in the Vietnamese Wars but it surely leaves a bad taste. Older veterans saw no victory but the new vets at least saw that no more of their kind would be manufactured in the meat grinder.
