Mary[c] was a first-century BC Galilean Jewish[2] woman of Nazareth, and the mother of Jesus, according to the New Testament.
The gospels of Matthew and Luke in the New Testament and the Quran describe Mary as a virgin[3] betrothed to Joseph.[4] According to Christian theology she conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit while still a virgin. She accompanied Joseph to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.[5]
According to Catholic and Orthodox teachings, at the end of her earthly life her body was raised directly into Heaven; this is known in the Christian West as the Assumption.[6][7]
Mary has been venerated since early Christianity,[8][9] and is considered by millions to be the most meritorious saint of the religion. She is said to have miraculously appeared to believers many times over the centuries. The Eastern and Oriental Orthodox, Catholic, Anglican, and Lutheran churches believe that Mary, as mother of Jesus, is the Theotokos (Mother of God) (Greek: Θεοτόκος, romanized: Theotokos, lit. 'God-bearer'). There is significant diversity in the Marian beliefs and devotional practices of major Christian traditions. The Catholic Church holds distinctive Marian dogmas, namely her status as the Mother of God, her Immaculate Conception, her perpetual virginity, and her Assumption into heaven.[10] Many Protestants minimize Mary's role within Christianity, basing their argument on the relative brevity of biblical references.[11] Mary also has a revered position in Islam, where one of the longer chapters of the Quran is devoted to her.[12]

Did Mary & Joseph have children after the birth of Jesus? Did Jesus have half-brothers & half-sisters? If not, then who are the 'brothers & sisters' of Jesus...

When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue; and the many listeners were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things, and what is this wisdom given to Him, and such miracles as these performed by His hands? “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and among his own relatives and in his own household.” And He could do no miracle there except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He wondered at their unbelief.

Are they Jesus' disciples, His cousins, His believing 'brothers,' or children from a previous marriage of Joseph? Or are they Jesus' actual blood-related half-brothers & half-sisters born of Mary & Joseph after the birth of Jesus? "
