Irrespective of how the media and the DA try to spin it, no guilt should be attached (IMO) to the two victims who protected themselves. As to the charge of attempted armed robbery, it doesn't matter whether it is real or a toy. If another "reasonable" man or woman could believe that it was a legitimate attack, it is a genuine attack. It is sad that in a country as advanced as we are, individual citizens must protect their own lives from recidivist violent criminals. This is only the earliest stages, as time goes forward (unless the justice system suddenly begins working) more and more citizens will undertake their own defense and the criminal element will begin bearing the brunt of the losses. From that point forward the citizenry will fully realize that they can protect themselves. Then it will be like Dodge City all over the country, but the people will be safer than they are now.
