Thanks for sharing LTC (Join to see). As a former combat engineer, I am interested in combat engineering which I am certain the Canadian - all-black - Number 2 Construction Battalion took part in when they were part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
My paternal grandfather fought at Gallipoli, Turkey and in the trench warfare of the western front as a British Army lance corporal.
Kudos to each and every allied soldier who participated in WWI.

Yes Steven great to see your forefathers help in Gallipoli and are tied into the fight in World War 1.

Great story MAJ, hopefully the decendant's of the men from No. 2 Engineering Bn. had their relatives in high esteem, and are grateful for the sacrifice given by them.
