Thank you my friend SGT Jim Ramge, MBA for making us aware that Capitol Police officer Howard B. Liebengood seems to have committed suicide.
He 'worked in the Senate Division and had been assigned with the force since April 2005.'
1. I wonder if he was the one that shot Ashli Babbitt as she was trying to get inside that area.
2. If his insurance is paid up and he has had it for longer than the probationary period, then his dependents should receive payout once the investigation is completed.

3. Unsurprisingly 'President-elect Joe Biden indicated the police on the scene, who were not able to adequately contain, respond, or instantly arrest individuals in the largely white mobs, had an “unacceptable” response to the attack.
He went on to politicize the incident “No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn’t have been treated very, very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol,” Biden said. “We all know that’s true, and it is unacceptable.” During a separate speech in Delaware, Biden called the acts “insurrection.”

4. Suicide is not an unforgivable sin if he had a personal relationship with the LORD when he died.
Man knows not his time. Yet God knows exactly when, where and how we are born and when, where and how we each die.

5. Based on the vindictive rhetoric from many in authority, the big tech terminating communication accounts for conservatives and the deep level of mistrust for many in the government and the electoral process, I expect a deeper divide is growing in this nation.

Prayers for Howard B. Liebengood's grieving family.

LTC Stephen F. - Stephen my Friend, I unfortunately must agree with much of what you stated. Because many can no longer simply, agree to disagree, we are now in a state of extremism. And that, I hope and pray, does not lead to another Civil War, among those of the many countrymen and women of whom we fought to protect these very privileges. Have a good evening - and God Bless Brother!

A "Civil War", in my opinion, can take on the auspices of many different forms and factions and I truly believe Brother Jim has a valid point of which time, and only time, will reveal the essence of such a division (civil war) of the people of our Country. Let us all hope and pray it is not a repeat, in some catastrophic form, of history. However, I can sense a growing embryonic phase materializing by simply watching the occurrences of what is taking place in our Country every day.

Well damn. My heart breaks for his family. Horrible loss. I am a huge Anthony Bourdain fan and he took his life as well. Sometimes I wonder did he commit suicide because he did not have the requisite treatment or something critical was not said?
