I worked in a deli at one time and I got some real jewels of sarcasm come in
S’times .. I get their meats n cheeses n special salads just the way they want ..
it seems I took too long .. I got a come back.. I just keep it to myself.. be nice and sweet as can be... later they sent an apology letter... (didn’t have the “whatever” to come in face to face and apologize). In their note at the same time was an admonishment that I made them look like an a**hat in front of other guests by my politeness throughout their tirade ..
(So I did make an impression). Everything came out top shelf at their gathering. And I included some cards with mini flyers so they could give them out(they said I didn’t give enough) . We got more business. When they come in as a result of having our selections at someone's party we ask that in a little questionnaire.. We got to the point we

So sometimes when someone is sarcastic .. and you do have a comeback... ya know what ? Just keep it and instead be nice and say you’ll take it into consideration for future reference ..
