In September 1969 I wash a Freshman at Plattsburgh State University, Plattsburgh, NY. The 3 man room next to me kept playing this song over and over and it was driving everyone NUTS. One afternoon they left their room unlocked my roommate and I liberated the Album and hid it in our room. They looked and looked that evening and asked everyone if they had taken it by mistake. NO ONE said a thing as the rest of the wing was also sick of this song (not CSN - just this damn song). We had a peaceful evening - until next afternoon when they bought another album and started playing it AGAIN. We gave the album back and asked if they would just stop. No dice. So we escalated the war and started trying to drown them out with Led Zeppelin - which got all of us in trouble with the RA. Gotta love college days and the stupid things you did when you were 18/19.

Brings back a flood of memories with this song and Easy Rider. I was a senior in high school and a couple of my friends and I planned on buying Harleys and traveling around the country when we graduated. All 3 of us wound up in the Marines instead. Still haven't got my Harley.
