It is unfortunate for Americans that she is a Representative and garners press faster than flies on manure. And the whole world sees it.

She makes about the same as we did in the military, right. Let's see her live on what I was making.

My basic pay when I entered in 69 was $96.00 a month and went up to $234.00 as a PFC.
The girl is just an idiot and couldn't live on what we are paid now?

My Data:
E-1: Jul 1967 (under four months): $87.90 then = $695.29 purchasing power now.
E-5: Apr 1969 (under two years): $226.20 then = $1,665.00 purchasing power now.
In addition, our company commander "asked" us to buy US Savings Bonds with some of our pay...he was "hoping" that our company would show a 100% "voluntary" participation rate. :)
