Thanks for mentioning and honoring United States Navy submarine Captain Joseph Francis Enright SGT John " Mac " McConnell who commanded the USS Archerfish (SS-311) that sank the Japanese aircraft carrier Shinano on 29 November 1944 for which then Commander Enright was awarded the Navy Cross.
Kudos to Joseph Francis Enright and each member of the submarine crew of the USS Archerfish (SS-311).

Me too ! My wife doesn't care for confined spaces. So she went about a quarter of the way and retreated....

Some years ago, I toured the USS Drum at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, AL. At the time, the boat was still afloat and moored. Without question, there's not a lot of room to move around! LTC (Join to see) SGT John " Mac " McConnell LTC Stephen F.

LTC Stephen C. - thanks for the picture. Its better than a U-boat. fresh water from electrolysis and a big freezer to keep good food fresh. I was impressed!

LTC (Join to see), I intend to tour U-505 at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Hopefully, sooner than later! Talk about confined spaces!
