I was a 2LT at one time and probably fit some of these descriptions and others that have not been described in this article.....fortunately, I was surrounded by NCOs and superiors that recognized my tendencies to depart from "normal" and were very tactful in discussing my shortcomings with me so that I could become more effective and do the job that the Army intended me to do.....it is easy to recognize faults and criticize, but much much more difficult to approach the individual being criticized and offer guidance as to how he/she might improve and become a more effective leader...this is where I believe the time should be spent and at the same time it is good to point these faults out in a public forum to garner agreement and understanding...thanks for the opportunity to voice my humble opinion!
