I expect your determination to accomplish goals and meet obligations has been generally successful. Hopefully you are wise enough to seek the LORD’s guidance in developing plans, objectives and methods to accomplish noble and fruitful aspirations. I hope that you are determined to help those who depend on you to succeed in their life goals. I expect that you are effective in taking care of those you are responsible for. I pray that you and I are not comingled with the goals of this world’s systems and that we are rooted in the rock of Christ. 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.' [Romans 12:2 ESV] my brother-in-Christ SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.

I pray for honesty, grace to forgive and be forgiven, conviction to repent as applicable, and restoration of fellowship with forgiveness and sufficient fruit of the Holy Spirit gentleness, goodness, peace and humility for each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. LORD, I thank you for guiding each of us day-by-day and hour-by-hour and enabling us to focus on your priority for each of us. YOU admonish us that love abides love in us and we demonstrate our love for YOU by loving those you place us amidst. ‘Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. … So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. [ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7; 13 ESV]
LORD I lift the grieving to YOU on this first day of September 2021 including SPC Daniel Rankin who is grieving the death of his little sister. Man does not know his time YOU are the author and sustainer of all creation. You provide breath and only YOU know when each of us will take our last breath. YOU ordained grief to enable each person to come to turns with the death of loved ones and other significant losses including divorce. ‘Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; forget not the afflicted. Why does the wicked renounce God and say in his heart, “You will not call to account”? But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation, that you may take it into your hands; to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless. [Psalm 10:12-14 ESV]
I lift US citizens still in Afghanistan, including the 27 students from San Juan Unified School District, prisoners of the Taliban; Christian Afghanis, Afghanis who materially assisted US and allied forces, young Afghanis who appreciate the relative freedom they have enjoyed; and future hostages to YOU, dear LORD. You are the Author, Sustainer, and Fulfiller of hope for all of humanity. I pray that YOU fulfill the hope of the generations of people in Afghanistan who support freedom for all including education of boys and girls in schools. Let these individuals trust in YOU and I pray that many are YOUR adopted sons and daughters. I pray that none of these individuals will die or be killed outside of personal relationship with YOU. ‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.’ [Jeremiah 29:11-14 ESV]
I pray that YOU bring conviction to POTUS Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken; Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairmen of the Joints Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley for . I pray they repent for the deaths of those killed and wounded on August 26, 2021. I pray that POTUS Joe Biden will apologize for laughing about the Afghanistan disaster and he will accept full responsibility for surrendering Bagram Air Base, ordering the military forces to leave Afghanistan before all US citizens, other nation citizens, and Afghanis who interpreted for US and allied forces and all others who offered material assistance including Mohamed who helped Senator Joe Biden and other senators survive a snowstorm. ‘For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.’ [Luke 6:43-45]
The LORD admonishes each of us to be compassionate, bless and not curse
a. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.’ [Romans 12:14-18 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Wednesday morning and happy Hump day to all Col Burroughs and Posse.
Getting things done, accomplishing one's tasks means we need to put intention and action into play. If you haven't made the decision to get it done, planned for it and started on the path, you won't get there. Sometimes the hardest part is that first step but if it is important to you, you will find a way to accomplish it. I felt that way about getting my MH license after my school counseling one but in spite of a number of unforeseen obstacles, I did in fact, accomplish that goal. If you are determined to accomplish something, you are hard to stop.

Please keep SPC Daniel Rankin and his immediate family in our prayers today. His younger sister passed away five days ago.

“Yes, it’s ‘Wednesday and Hump Day’ everyone. Middle of the week, start of a new month, and time get whatever you’re doing or working on accomplished. Why Not?

The key to really accomplishing anything in life is your determination and that leads me to this quote…

‘In order to achieve accomplishment, one must first accomplish determination.’ — Unknown Author

May you have the goals, determination, and perseverance to accomplish your objectives whatever they may be today or in the future; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
