Good “Tuesday!” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse,” and all great connections. Welcome to a new week from the “Eagle’s Nest” on the road “RIPRIDE4Vets 2021 in Jacksonville, FL! — 8 June 2021!
Day 6 and the beginning of Phase II - Stopped by Apollo Beach, FL and got to meet Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen then I road down to Fort Myers, FL and interviewed Veteran and Board Member for VFV, Michael Turner, then got to Davenport, FL and had lunch with Veteran and Facilitator for Warriors for Life (WFL) SGT Steve McFarland at the Cracker Barrel. Closed out the day with a trip up to Jacksonville, FL and spend the evening with my aunt and uncle – another successful long and big day!
Starting off Day 7 with a “Meet and Greet” with SGT Randal Groover in Midway, GA and then off to have dinner with Maj William W. 'Bill' Price in Matthews, NC

Miracles. We need to realize that they are all around us. In spite of what the press would have you think about our world, it is full of miracles and good deeds. However, they make poor headlines so they don't often get talked about. Most of us have had answered prayers or those we were grateful later on that went unanswered because what we saw of our lives told us it was the wrong thing had it happened as we asked for it. Those too are responses from God. "There but for the grace of God" is something I've said frequently it seems...

I hope you understand that actual miracles are very rare and that God is the author of genuine miracles. Most likely you are aware that the term miracle is trivialized by advertising and overused by far too many. I expect you realize the conception of Jesus the Christ by the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary is a genuine miracle. I pray that you and I respect the Word of God and demonstrate our respect with humility. ‘how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard, while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.’ [Hebrews 2:3-4 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown
I pray LORD that YOU open the eyes and ears of each adopted son and daughter of God who reads or listens to this prayer. Too many seem to be confused about the giftings of the LORD. I pray that YOU deliver each of us from false teachings. ‘'For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.’ [1 Corinthians 12:8-10 ESV]
I lift the debts of disabled veterans and their family members and loved ones to YOU LORD. YOU delivered each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters from sin debt and the punishment for sin through YOUR atonement on the cross. I pray that YOU bring relief to each disabled veteran and family member struggling with debt. ‘we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.’ [Romans 5:3b-5 ESV]
Remember the admonition of the LORD, Biblical love is the most important to the LORD. HE reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:1 that without love we are a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal ‘Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.’ [1 Corinthians 12:27-31, 13 ESV]
