Day 11 is in the history books, Phase II is complete, Phase III has started, and donations are still rolling in – Left a cold 50 degrees from Alan Korb and Stevie Korb's house in Belmont, New Hampshire and traveled 481 miles to Portville, NY to meet with Sgt Randy 'Tank' Wilber and the “Reinforcements MC” who supported Victory for Veterans, Inc. in a big way back with one of the original VFVRIDEs, then called Ride 22… It was great to meet everyone in person and get some quality time with ‘Tank!’ (See Pictures Below)
Day 12 of 21 will be a ride to CWO3 Dave Alcantara in Allentown, PA, then off to Cpl Jania Masterson in Morgantown, with a final resting stop overnight in York, PA where I hope to break some bread with SSG Michael Noll!

Good Sunday morning Col Burroughs and Posse and so glad to hear the ride is going well everywhere. I was so excited to see the photos of the Legion riders the other day and these are some more great ones. Maybe Randy and his "gang" will be able to give us a hand with VFV fundraising again soon.
A fresh start. We have the opportunity to do that at any time, not just at the big events like birthdays and New Years but it takes strength and determination not to fall into the same habits and ruts that we've been in before. Thirty days to develop new habits....we see the truth of that with the masks and the people who cannot give them up because they've grown used to them. They need a fresh start but it is a challenge to do so.
I worked the library book sale yesterday afternoon; it was the first one we've had in 18 months due to COVID. A majority of people still with masks. Why? I asked. "It feels comfortable; I am not sure what works and what doesn't; I feel strange without it." Those are some of the responses I got. Some looked at my bare face and smiled; others frowned. But no one challenged me as I am clearly old enough to have been vaccinated.
What in your life has become an unproductive habit that could use a fresh start? And don't give up too soon; remember 30 days to reset.

I pray that YOU bless each family member, loved one, caretaker with endurance, compassion, patience and insight into how to care those they are charged to care for. I pray for transparency and honest communication for each as they develop and increase trust and transparency for those they care for. ‘There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.’ [1 John 4:18-19 ESV]
Remember the admonition of the LORD about renewing and refreshing
c. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV 'So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction'.'
d. Isaiah 40:31 ESV ‘but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.’
