Good Tuesday morning Burroughs Posse Leader! It is a quiet morning here in the greater Boston area but thus far it looks like another overcast day. Two more get ups before heading to our FL home for a few weeks... I am really looking forward to it, my friend!

Today is: “Impossible Day!” Why Not?

“So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.” – Christopher Reeve

“Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done.” – Robert A. Heinlein

“Because a thing seems difficult for you, do not think it impossible for anyone to accomplish.” – Marcus Aurelius

“What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are.” – Anthony Robbins

“The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible.” – Anonymous

“The only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking.” – Robert Schuller

Least we overlook it, know that...

“Great leaders that lead from the front and inspire others to excel will always turn the impossible into achieving the possible.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Sgt Dallas D'Angelo-Gary -
I was chewed out for posting this at Ft. Greely in 1973:
“We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing,
are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.
We have done so much, for so long, with so little,
we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.”

I expect that you are becoming a better listener by design and that you get sincere pleasure from encouraging others to achieve what they considered impossible. No doubt you inspire many who know you, the many who benefit from your leadership, advice and friendship, as well as your family members. I hope we are motivated to assist, help, and come alongside others in need. I expect you invest time to share your talents and resources with others to improve their knowledge and skills. ‘Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.’ [Hebrews 10:23-25 ESV my brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see).

I lift discouraged and disappointed family members and friends who are estranged to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU use each of us to be peacemakers with family and friend relationships. With YOU all things are possible and YOU specialize in restoring relationship. YOU loved each of us first and drew us to YOUSELF in YOUR perfect timing. 'There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us.' [1 John 4:18-19 ESV]
I hope and pray that you and I place our full trust in the LORD God. I pray that the LORD blesses each of us with discernment to focus our efforts to encourage and motivate those who depend on us as leaders, friends, and family members. 'Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.' [Ephesians 5:1-2 ESV]
I pray for endurance, self-control, sense of purpose to serve as called to do so, for each adopted son and daughter of God who reads this prayer or hears this prayer. Strengthen our resolve to persevere with grace and demonstrate YOUR love to each person we interact with. ‘Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. [1 Corinthians 9:25-27 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Tuesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Wednesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Sgt Dallas D'Angelo-Gary - I wasn't worried. It was by a lifer E8 that wouldn't have survived a week as a civilian. The same one who tried to get my Captain to bust me from E3 for rebuilding an AFRTS TV station, against orders. He was ordered to put me in for promotion, and he was within 17 seconds of being busted to E1. He might have been Station Manager, but I was the Station's only Engineer! :)

Good Tuesday morning Col Burroughs and posse. Going to enjoy another day with family. Hoping to get to the tea factory today to pick up some gifts for those back in Virginia.
Impossible. I remember when we declared all sorts of things "impossible" that certainly turned out not to be when some decided to tackle them head on. The Communication devices on Star Trek (became our flip phones) and getting people out into space has become a reality. There was a time when a broken hip meant life in a wheelchair, but now replacement means a return to an active life. We're fighting and winning the battle against cancer and other deadly diseases; medical treatments improve almost daily. Running vehicles on electricity, natural gas, etc...all continue to improve when at one time, someone considered them impossible.
We've all had those things we thought we couldn't do but then somehow we did...feats of strength, endurance, leadership, scholarship; if we didn't try, we would never have made it. The first step toward making the impossible, possible is to believe and then to do it.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - All great examples today overcome the word impossible Charlie. Thanks for the additonal quotes. I hope you and Tom are enjoying your time here in Denver, CO....

“Make the impossible possible today, tomorrow, and in the future. It’s a ‘mind-set’ and passion within you needs to be ignited. Don’t let your own thoughts of impossibility hold you back. That reminds me of this quote…

‘It’s impossible.’ said pride. ‘It’s risky.’ said experience. ‘It’s pointless.’ said reason. ‘Give is a try.’ whispered the heart.’ — Unknown Author

May your determination get you paste your fears and thoughts of failure and lead you to new possibilities; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
