Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs Today's quotes well describe you and so many others here on Rally Point. I think if you look at it, a much larger percentage of those who served in the military go on to lives of continued service either as a vocation or as volunteers than the civilian community. We see the value in service. What are you doing to serve your community in some way?
My current choice is as a counselor and a Red Cross volunteer.

I pray that you and I embrace service to others and recognize and honor those who serve us, my friend and sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown .
LORD God you emptied YOURSELF and took the form of a bond-servant being made in the likeness of men. YOU designed each one of us to help others by serving them with talents, compassion, and communicating – especially listening.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children are mature enough to serve others with joy. Prompt each of us to be generous with our time, talents and treasure.
I pray that each parent and grandparent who are YOUR adopted children has been consistently demonstrating respect for each other human including offering service as YOU prompt us. For those parents and grandparents who have been earnestly praying for the salvation of their children/grandchildren, I pray that YOU save each one of those young people in YOUR perfect timing.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

As soon as we move back home, very soon, I am going to do something I did as a young person that I found very rewarding, that is supporting a Meals on Wheels program. If I have to cook, prepare dinners, deliver, whatever, I am going to make it successful. After all the blessings my wife and I have been gifted by our great God, I am looking forward to helping those less fortunate and the elderly who really need this type of help these days.

CMSgt Randy Beck - That's what I mean about us as former/retired military; we see the value of service. I will be working with a group of Vietnam vets next month if all goes as planned. Good to help wherever we can.

Working on this as much as possible. I have become a life member of the Legion and am a part of our ALR function as well. I get more involved and I am not even out the door yet. Just ended a quick drive to raise funds for replacement flags for ceremonies and events. I got 20 nylon and 15 cotton flags to bolster this year's lot. Next year will do more. Also be involved in your community- it is where you live- make it better. Good morning Col and I know you always make things better with all the projects you got going.

Jesus came into the world to serve, not to be served. Service to your fellow man and the love of God the Father is the right way to exist in this life for what you do today will come back to you later.
Good morning Rally Point. May you have a Blessed Tuesday and peace upon each of you and your house.
