Machine Learning or Deep Learning could be useful in dealing with this using real time sensor data to determine where mine data is. But of course this can be defeated by spoofing what data the sensor sees to make the mine look like something else in the normal countermeasure escalation.
For that reason I suspect deep learning might be more useful as it is somewhat opaque exactly what is being looked for in the sensor data to get the results of where the mines are (even to the people that develop the system).
