I do remember this, I shared this last year and remember thinking.......Such a bad day before such a good day/....July 4th.

Thanks for reminding us SP5 Mark Kuzinski that on July 3, 1968 U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam (MACV) releases figures showing that more Americans were killed during the first six months of 1968 than in all of 1967.
While the communist Tet Offensive of 1967 was a operational and tactical victory for the US and our allies and a terrible defeat for the NVA and VC forces, at the strategic level it was a resounding victory for the NVA.
The political will of the USA public was breaking by this point in 1968. The support for the war effort was deteriorating by this point.
