That was wonderful news IMHO PO1 William "Chip" Nagel that the United States combined with the armed forces of the United Kingdom and France early Saturday to carry out airstrikes against the chemical weapons facilities maintained by the regime of Syria.
The unclassified aircraft included
RAF Tornados
French Rafale fighter jets
US B1s
Tomahawk cruise missiles.
I am thankful that my USMA classmates General Joe Votel commands CENTCOM and General Tony Thomas commands SOCOM.

Are we sure we want France involved? The last time they did any good in the world was the American Revolution. (I'll give them the Legion, but I think the Legion exists to spite the French government.)

To be fair, the USA has a major problem in that it is not sure from a population voting perspective what it wants to do. Do we want to be the world's policeman? If so, then we need to increase production, recruiting, etc. If not, then we need to rely on friends and the UN so that the majority of body bags have different flags on them.

As you can tell, I'm not a fan of France. They usually wind up getting our troops shot, and then calling for the ones who survive to be brought before the Hague. I get your point though.

Oh I'm not a French lover either. But when the caskets make their way out of the transport at Dover AFB, I'd rather they have a flag on it other than the stars and stripes. French soldiers die as easily as anyone else's.
