Even the Labor Party, which has the plurality and is now the major party in the House of Commons, their vote total was horrible. The Tory's took a terrible beating, but they should have since they screwed up almost everything since Covid. Farage's party was the only real winner, placing third as a new party without an organization or money. The British have rather odd system that give the Labor Party far more seats than their actual percentage in the election, but I seriously doubt that they can actually do much of what they want and I don't think they have enough seats to form a government.

The coalition of Leftist Parties in France were the Plurality, but the French system divides the seats closer to actual totals, so they won't be able to form a government unless they do it with La Pen or Macron. The current leader of the Left Coalition hates Macron, so I don't see it going mainstream. Macron's party was hammered as the mainstream party just like the Tory's in England. Immigration, Housing, the Ukraine War didn't generate any support.

Both in France and England, a large number of voters just didn't vote.
