Thank you, my friend and brother-in-Christ SSG William Jones for posting the Billy Graham devotional for may 6, 2019 "Seek God for Yourself"
Actually long before God initiated creation and time HE designated who would be HIS.
Individuals search for truth in many ways. Some use drugs, alcohol and/or sex to seek truth. Others search philosophy, science and the faiths and cults to learn truth.
In my own case I read much and drank and did drugs to find truth or more accurately try to escape from it. Later, I investigated philosophy and other faiths and rejected the gospel whenever it was offered - usually with malice.
Once the Holy Spirit regenerates the stony heart of adopted son or daughter of God into a heart of flesh, at that point we are able to have our eyes open to see and ears open to hear the gospel.
In September 1987, the Holy Spirit regenerated my heart and it seems "the scales" were removed from my eyes so that could see the truth of the gospel and take it to heart.
Praise the LORD and Glory to HIS Name.

shekhinah is a transliteration in some of the English language Bibles - particularly the paraphrases Safir Rahndom Since God has always existed "external" to all HE creates and HE is in essence Spirit his "dwelling" is anthropomorphic :-)

I am not interested in agreement on many things.
I never mentioned "shekhinah" in my response - although the song may have. You brought it up and I did some basic research to find usage - only found in paraphrase and not in actual translations including the Septuagint.

Every day, God guides me Safir Rahndom. The Talmud consists of commentary and interpretation.
God guides each of HIS own from every tribe and tongue as HE always has - there has always been a remnant and there will be until the end of the age.
God gave us HIS word and each time we read HIS word HE teaches us more because HIS Word is alive and speaks to each and every generation.
I recognize that you are most likely an observant Jew who considers what I would term the Old Testament as the complete Bible.
I have read through the whole Bible over 20 times in 30 years so far. All wisdom comes from God while knowledge in commentaries comes from men. Man's words can certainly be efficacious.
