Thanks, but not really, SGT John " Mac " McConnell. Many thousands of soldiers have become infantrymen, you being one of them, as a matter of fact! I just put one foot in front of the other until I got to the end of the training cycle. Being qualified as an Expert Infantryman or serving as an infantryman in combat is a great accomplishment and I did neither of those. However, you did so yours was the great accomplishment! Salute!
